2023 Year in Review

It has been a busy year fundraising, first with our annual Dinner to Dazzle and later on with our Walk/Run for a cause. Overall we achieved our goal of donating over R500,000 to organisations in South Africa that don’t receive any government assistance.

Donations received assisted in various settings, including helping the desperately poor and disadvantaged, people with severe disabilities, orphanages and the elderly with no-where to turn.

Over 90% of all donations received go directly towards helping these organisations, where possible assigning the funds to specific needs. Overall food shortage is still the biggest need.

If you you would like to support us, please follow us on social media, support our annual events or make a regulary monthly donation. As a registered not-for-profit in Australia, your donation is 100% tax deductible.

Dinner to Dazzle

Thanks to the proceeds from the event, along with monthly contributions and one-time donations, we’ve successfully distributed a total of R321,300 to these remarkable South African not-for-profit organizations:

Kairos – R110,300, Careson Angels – R110,300, Wenakker – R59,500, President Kruger Kinderhuis – R47,600, Abraham Kriel Kinderhuis – R47,600. Click here to read more about this event.

Walk/Run for a cause

In September we organised a park walk/run for a cause where supporters could purchase tickets to run or walk 5 or 10km. Apart from catching up with friends or making friends, we raised ($3,350) towards our target of fundraising and donating R500,000 ($41,667) in 2023 to needy organisations in South Africa.

End of year holiday food hampers

In our last initiative for 2023 we fundraised to provide 320 families whose children would normally receive a meal at school, with a nutritious food parcel over the Christmas holidays. Thanks to our supporters and friends, who sponsored one or more food parcels at $35 each, we reached our goal.
