Our focus is changing drastically from not only giving food parcels for a week or two, but to truly empower, upskill and give communities purpose again.

1)Community Garden

We were able to establish our OzGeeOm Community Garden in Daspoort in collaboration with Kairos Changing lives who is managing it for us. We uplifted Esme from dire straight circumstances to follow her passion and share her skills with the community here in Daspoort where she is establishing the garden for us.

The project’s goal is to provide more nutritious food to our underprivileged families, upskill them to use hydroponics to grow vegetable crops and then to empower them to earn money with donated hydroponic systems at their own homes.

2) Workshop, Salon and Kitchen

We supported Careson Angels in establishing three community-focused initiatives: a Workshop, where people can learn practical skills to create items for sale at local markets; a Salon, providing the community with affordable haircuts and treatments while also upskilling participants to develop these valuable skills; and a Kitchen, where people can learn baking skills and produce biscuits and koeksisters for sale.

3) Ablution block in new settlement at Hartbeespoortdam

We made a significant contribution to Moeggesukkel to support the construction of an ablution block at Hoopveld, a new settlement serving an underprivileged community near Hartbeespoort Dam.

4) Showers and Toilets for Lilly Rose Community Farm near Cape Town

Lilly Rose Community Farm in Atlantis, near Cape Town, is home to a community of approximately 220 residents who previously had access to just one shower and two toilets. We provided funding to construct an additional 10 toilets and four showers, significantly improving access to essential sanitation facilities for the community.
