From 2017, a group of ex-pat South Africans has been combining donations for the underprivileged in South Africa who do not receive any government funding. Together we can make a bigger difference.
We all share the same belief , ‘”charity begins at home”. As a group, we make a bigger difference with our combined donations and the favourable exchange rate.
The committee consist of Yolandé Steyn, Enid Walker, Isabel Myburgh and our ambassadors Jo-lize van Jaarsveld , Zante Strauss, Elanza Kruger, Ella du Plessis, Sally Pieterse and Dee Mets.
All team members volunteer their time and skills. Over 90% of all donations goes directly to the charities we support, ensuring your generosity has a meaningful and impactful effect.
OzGeeOm is transparent, funds are directed to reach the people in need, with no admin cost or wages to pay.
Our policy is to be transparent and we feel very strong about getting the funds to the people who need it most. We have a person on the ground back in South Africa, who investigates the validity of the organisations we support. One of our most important criteria for supporting an organisation, is to ensure the organisations provide a clear set of needs and transparent feedback on how the funds were spent to meet those needs.
We have a small managing committee that ensures the smooth running of the organisation and a group of ambassadors who volunteer and offer support at our fundraising events.
We hold two key fundraising events every year to raise awareness and raise funds.
